PBF p a G e 5 p i B e T a p h i T exas Gamma is blessed to have such great alumnae and panhellenic support, helping us be the best we can be. we earned the top spot in grades for the fifth consecutive semester and are honored to announce that we earned several awards at national Convention and through panhellenic, including excellence in scholarship and outstanding academics. we were also awarded the Dean's Cup this year, which distinguishes us as the best Chapter at Texas Tech. in addition to our Chapter achievements, we also had several members who were recognized for individual awards. Nicki Dunn '12 was elected as panhellenic vice president and former president Erika Allen '09 was named panhellenic member of the Year. Emily Little '12 was named outstanding freshman. we had a blast at our annual philanthropy, pi phest. The lubbock community was invited to join us at our fair to raise money for the literacy fund and the friendship fund. with their help, we raised more than $5,000, which was split between the two foundations. former Vice president of philanthropy Katherine Parker '11 said, "pi phest was a truly wonderful experience. it was so great not just to see our fellow Greeks supporting us but also the families in the community. The kids and even the college students loved all the carnival games. and the best thing is that every child left with a book!" This fall we partnered with phi Delta Theta for homecoming. The theme was Tech loves the '90s. we had so much fun! They created a dance and song and performed it at the united spirit arena for all of panhellenic and ifC. we also hosted a woodstock-themed date party this fall in addition to our annual lonestar-themed party. we had a remarkable year last year and look forward to an even better one this year! we are so excited to begin the renovations to our lodge, and we cannot wait to see the final result. I want to thank all of the alumnae who have taken the time to help our Chapter in our new initiatives. please take this as an open invitation to drop by the finished lodge whenever you would like.
