In Pittsburg's Hill District in 1936, the Charles family battle their surroundings and each other over their shared legacy — an antique pi- ano. This mainstage production will be the 18th Annual Classic Theatre Series play, providing over 1500 students from Cumberland County free tickets to see this American masterpiece. The Piano Lesson embodies CRFT's deepened focus on bringing stories that speak to the entire community onto the main- stage. March 7-8 Fayetteville Baseball Fever Catch Fayetteville Baseball Fever with these two events that celebrate and commemorate the 100th an- niversary of Babe Ruth's home run in Fayetteville. On March 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Department of Transpor- tation, there will be a re-dedication of the 1952 historic highway marker honoring Babe Ruth's first home run as a paid professional baseball player. On March 8 at 11:00 a.m., attend a Vintage Base Ball game at Arnette Park where baseball is played by the rules and customs of the 19th century. March 9 Lafayette Society 32nd Annual Meeting and Luncheon The Lafayette Society will hold its Annual Meeting and Luncheon Ban- quet at the Holiday Inn-Bordeaux starting at 12:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Marc Jensen from New York and France, speaking on France's full-scale reproduction of L'Hermione, the ship that sailed Lafayette to America during the Revolutionary War. March 15 Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 The Fayetteville Symphony Orches- tra performs an all time favorite work by Tchaikovsky.
