Get out your tennis shoes, stretch and let's get going because there are some crazy fun opportunities for one mile family walks, 5K and 10Ks and even a full marathon! All American Marathon and Mike to Mike Half Marathon The All American Marathon and Mike to Mike Half Marathon will be start downtown on Sunday, May 4 at 6:30 a.m. The run will begin at Festival Park then continue up Ray Avenue to Hay Street where runners will go past the Market House, North Carolina Veterans Park and the Airborne and Special Operations Museum before continuing through Haymount to Fort Bragg via the All American Freeway. Runners will view FORSCOM headquarters and Fort Bragg's Iron Mike before finishing the run at the Main Post Parade Field. Great Glow Run 5K It's going to be a special 4th Friday in May because the Easter Seals will be sponsoring the Great Glow Run 5K on Friday, May 23. And glow in the dark you will with your entry fee including glow necklaces and bracelets, a moisture wicking 2014 Great Glow Run t-shirt, access to the Glow Crazy Zone for optional glow paint decoration, access to the Afterglow party and more! FRC's Firecracker Four Miler Wear your red, white and blue and get ready to go for it because the Fayetteville Running Club has organized its very first run downtown! Starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, July 4, this fiery race will promote running as part of a healthy lifestyle in our community and will also be a lot of fun. Heck, it's stroller friendly, dog friendly and environmentally friendly so get your run in before the grills crank up and the fireworks begin! From April to September next year, visitors and guests will be able to view Whimsical Dogwoods installed around downtown and individually painted by local artists.
