Did you know chocolate comes from a tree, and the Aztecs used the beans to make a drink similar to coffee? Next students will start Brick Labs using toy bricks to study math and engineering. Vista students visit Simpson University Courtesy photo Further expanding college and career opportunities for students, Vista Preparatory Academy in collaboration with College OPTIONS, recently took 40 seventh-graders on a field trip to Simpson University. Students attended an admissions presentation and participated in a question and answer ses- sion with a student panel and with Simpson University Professor Jesse Lynch. Students were taken on a tour of the university which included classrooms, media center, bookstore, and gymnasium. A before-and-after trip presentation included information regarding A-G requirements, finan- cial aid, and options for higher education institutions. The field trip is part of Vista Prep's continuing focus on college and career readiness.
