Keys to success tapped at school By DAVID SPAN A typical Friday for Isa Ross and Samuel Townley at eScholar Academy in Red Bluff has three aspects. It starts with signing in to their on-line courses. Isa, an outstanding second grader, and Samuel, an excellent first grader, have indi- vidualized learning pro- grams that the school's on-line curriculum pro- vides. "These students have already progressed extremely well in part to the on-line assignments, but more importantly to tµhe enthusiasm they have for learning," said Dianne Bassett, eScholar Academy's teacher for grades K-6. Isa and Samuel are also taking individual- ized piano lessons from Renee McChristian at the school. Samuel start- ed piano last year in kindergarten. "Both students seem to really enjoy learning to play, and show confi- Photo Courtesy of David Span eScholar Academy students Isa Ross, left, and Samuel Townley, right, work on their on-line courses. dence in their perfor- mances," McChristian said.
