4A Daily News – Saturday, January 18, 2014 Agriculture & Thresher, Kluger promoted RICHVALE — Lundberg Family Farms, a leading producer of organic rice and rice products, names Renee Thresher its new Vice President of Manufacturing. She was promoted to the Vice President's role after serving as Corporate Quality Systems Manager since joining the company in August 2010. In her new role, the veteran food scientist and qualitycontrol professional will continue to provide strategic leadership and direction of all technical, quality, food safety and regulatory programs, and will add oversight responsibility for all manufacturing and production functions for the family-owned company. Before joining Lundberg Family Farms, Thresher served for six years as plant manager and director of technical services for Treetop/Sabroso. She earlier served for nine years at General Mills, where she was QRO Product Manager, Quality Manager, Senior Quality Engineer, Quality Engineer, and Sensory Technical Specialist. "I am delighted to have the opportunity to collaborate with the talented leadership and manufacturing teams at Lundberg Family Farms as we continue to strive to deliver high quality products to our consumers," said Thresher. "Our employees are passionate about our consumers, our products and our mission and I look forward to working with them in this new role." Thresher holds an M.S. degree in Food/Sensory Science from Oregon State University, and a B.S. in Food Science from Cornell University. Lundberg also announced Wednesday the newly created position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing, expanding the management role played by Todd Kluger, who has served as Vice President of Marketing since April 2009. Since joining Lundberg, Kluger has overseen rebranding and product line expansion initiatives that introduced new packaging across the company's leading rice product and snack lines, and has collaborated on the introduction of several popular new product lines and line extensions. In his new role, Kluger will be responsible for managing the company's national sales network and building relationships with distributors across North America. "Todd's brand management expertise and his commitment to the organics movement combine both the skills and values we seek in our leaders," said Grant Lundberg, CEO. farm ranch Elements of a dream library Tuesday evening I was at the Community Center with about 100 other interested county residents when the new Tehama County Library was discussed.
