Holli Connolly, Juan Sanchez and Zoe Garcia are recording nutritional information. A few of the foods they are comparing are apples, carrots, raisins and different candy snacks. The goal is to find out which foods to eat, in the right amount and right combinations to get 100% of the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of the key nutrients needed to be healthy. Brunello makes dean's list Megan Brunello, of Red Bluff, was named to the 2013 fall semester dean's list at University of Portland. She is a junior majoring in Nursing. Students need at least a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible for the dean's list. The University of Portland is Oregon's Catholic university and has been closely affiliated for nearly a century with the Congregation of Holy Cross, Notre Dame, Ind. U.S. News & World Report ranks the institution as one of the top five regional universities in the American West. Mercy High School announces fall honor roll At the recent 1st Semester Academic Awards Assembly, Mercy High School faculty members were so proud of their students for their hard work and academic achievement during this first half of the school year. Many students earned Honor Roll, Principal's Honor Roll, Academic Letters and Outstanding Student Awards in each curricular area. More than 75 percent of seniors earned a 3.0 or better GPA.
