Q: What prompted the deci- sion to move “CSI: Miami” from Mondays to Sundays? — Gary Coonrod, Fayetteville, N.C. wanted a prime slot for its reboot of “Hawaii Five-0,” and the final hour of the Monday lineup long has been considered a top spot for a CBS drama. In step with that, “CSI: Miami” was so established, CBS relocated that in the hope its audi- ence would follow. (It did the same thing by moving “CSI: NY” from Wednesdays to Fridays.) Clearly and understandably, there has been much concern this season for “CSI: Miami” fans in the Eastern half of the country, since the show frequently has been delayed — and one week was can- celed outright — by football over- runs. Partially to address that, CBS moved the crime drama to an ear- lier slot the past several Sundays; with the NFL season now coming to an end, the start-time delays shouldn’t be a worry for the rest of the 2010-11 television year.
