Setting it straight There was an error in the weekend edition front page story “Fires break out late Friday afternoon.” There was only one house that caught fire in the 800 block of Lassen. The family was not home at the time, returning from the store to find their house on fire. One dog and two cats perished in the fire. There was an error in Monday’s front page story “Friday fires probed.” There were two businesses located at 1106 Main St. Tehama Auto Center and the building itself is owned by John Barlow of Red Bluff. The second business is Elite Automotive, which is co-owned by Craig Smith and Bryson Schenk. Multiple vehicles were damaged and the building received major damage. The Daily News regrets the errors. –––––––– It is the policy of the Daily News to correct as quickly as possible all errors in fact that have been published in the newspaper.
