Undergraduates Attend Leadership School,
Share Knowledge with Chapter
Twenty-Six New Members Recruited This Fall
T
he fall semester had a great start at the Washington Beta
chapter house. The chapter continues to thrive in scholarship,
recruitment, and community service.
WABE Recruits 26 New Members
During the summer and beginning of the fall semester, the chapter
signed 26 new members. The new members are just a few weeks
away from completing the new member education program and
pledgeship. They are working hard to earn high grades and are
excited to become initiated brothers of the chapter. In addition to the
new members this fall we are excited to initiate nine neophytes from
the spring 2013 pledge class.
Brothers Benefit Community
The chapter continues to focus on giving back to the community.
Ian Clark '16, community service chairman, helped the chapter
coordinate events that allow members to help out in the community,
like our Adopt-a-Block program. Every Sunday morning we clean
up the streets and pick up trash in our designated neighborhood.
This has allowed us to build a relationship with those community
members and make a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Members Attend Leadership School
Over the summer, six members, including me, had the opportunity
to attend the John O. Mosley leadership school aboard a cruise
ship in the Caribbean. While there, we connected with brothers from
other universities across the country. Through those connections
we gained valuable insight about how they ran their chapters and
traditions they take part in. We also learned a great deal from
seminars on recruitment, etiquette, finances, and many other
useful topics. Those who attended the school greatly benefitted
from it and brought their newly gained knowledge and insight back
to the chapter.
Thank you for your support as WABE continues to grow at
Washington State University. Feel free to come by the chapter
house anytime to take a tour and meet the active brothers.
Fraternally,
