Dr. John Lauby, director of the Cumberland County Animal Services, accepts a check on behalf of the department’s Emergency Medical Fund from Kelsi Durrence, a family court case coordinator for the 12th District Court. Durrence organized a Howl-o-ween canine costume contest to raise money for the fund and awareness about the link between domestic violence and animal cruelty.
