I am pretty sure it is safe to say that you have some issue, secret, circumstance or dilemma that is part of the fabric of your life that is hard. I understand, I have some hard stuff in my life too. Your hard may be a diagnosis, a failure, a secret, or a situation that is keeping you up at night, your brain on tilt and your guts tied in knots. Your hard may be needing to tell someone something, but not knowing how. Your hard may be facing your mortality or that of someone you love. Your hard may be getting out of bed when all you want to do is sleep and hopefully never wake up. Your hard may be finding enough money for formula and diapers. Your hard may be trying to say no to the next hit of drugs. I have no idea what your hard may be, just as you have no idea what mine is. We may pass in the frozen food isle at the grocery store and I may assume your hard is whether or not to buy brand name or generic. How would I know if you are living with something hard? How would you know if I was? We may not share the same things that are hard. One man's hard may be another man's easy, but it really doesn't matter what your hard is versus what mine is. It isn't a contest and there isn't a hard meter that registers human value based on what we have to deal with.
