Q&A By Adam Thomlison TV Media Q: I loved “The Secret Gar- den” as a child. I have seen many of the adult stars, such as Maggie Smith and John Lynch, in other films since then. A: They’ve been up to a fair hollywood bit, really, most of which has gone unseen by people on this side of the Atlantic. Kate Maberly, who played Mary, Heydon Prowse (Colin) and Andrew Knott (Dickon) fol- lowed fairly different paths out of “The Secret Garden” (1993), but all have found some form of screen success. That wasn’t his only screen work, though, as he’s done a fair bit of British TV and a few more films. He’s currently the online editor of hot British youth magazine Don’t Panic, and he’s written and produced a long se- ries of mostly political (and much-talked-about) videos for its Don’t Panic TV site. In fact, Maberly has what might be her biggest film role since “The Se- cret Garden” lined up, playing Billy Parker in the buzz-generat- ing “Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” due out next year.
