Waller Jr. 297 entered Chapter Grand at age 95 on August 24, 2012 in his home and horse ranch of 71 years in Escondido, Calif. Don was a building contractor and avid horseman. He was previously married to Elizabeth Grant Cronan until 1963, and later married Alta Ruth Smith, who passed away in November 2009, after eight years of battling cancer. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Lebo and Marie Waller, and his stepdaughter, Patricia Ann Dana. Richard A. Loetscher 516 entered Chapter Grand July 10, 2012. During the last year, he contentedly resided at Bethany Home, which was built by his grandfather and was the family home of his father. He loved fishing and hunting with his sons and friends and made many trips to Canada, including the Arctic Circle. His paramount hobby was woodworking, which he started at age eight, encouraged by his father. Dick is survived by his wife, Carole, and their four children: Penny, Christian, William, and Sara; eight grandchildren; and one great‑granddaughter. John G. Lingenfelter 561 entered Chapter Grand April 12, 2012. He was a resident of Kingman, Ariz., at the time of his passing. Daniel M. Youngblade 562 entered Chapter Grand April 15, 2013, after a lengthy journey with cancer. Dan married Arjes Ann Sundquist of Sioux City in June 1955. He began his medical career at the University of Iowa. After medical school, Dan, Arjes, and their four children lived in Cedar Rapids and Hartley, Iowa, before returning to Sioux City where they raised six children, and resided for 52 years. He was proud of his family's deep connection with and dedication to Iowa State University. Dan, his three sons, and (Continued on page 6)
