Cookie Monster to visit With a Dec. 8 storytime theme of cookies, who better to make a special appearance at the library than Cookie Monster? Rumor has it that the shaggy, blue cookie eater, along with his traveling companion, Dawn Suttmoeller, of the KIXE-Channel 9 Ready to Learn Program, will be making a stop at the Cot- tonwood Community Library to help the children celebrate cookies. "With the holidays just around the corner, cook- ies just seemed like the perfect theme for a winter storytime", says Gayle Harrington, director of Library Services. "And I know of no better author- ity on cookies than Cookie Monster. So a call was made and Cookie Monster agreed to help us all learn about cookies." A decoration of cookies will follow the sched- uled preschool storytime at Cottonwood held each Wednesday from 11:30am – 12:30pm. Stories are read, songs are sung, and a craft or related activity follows. For more information, con- tact the library at 347-4818.
