A
re you a legacy? Do you want to preserve
a relationship with your Phi sisters?
Does Alpha Chi Omega at KU hold a special
place for you?
If so, think about purchasing a brick for the
Phi Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega. Each brick
is $100 and includes three lines for engraving
with 15 characters per line. All proceeds
will benefit the chapter for future in-house
projects.

In Memoriam
Edith Fleming Lessenden Chandler '42 passed away June 14, 2013, in Topeka, Kan. She graduated
from KU in 1946 with degrees in education, speech, and drama. Edith was a member of Mortar Board,
Pi Lambda Theta, and Pi Epsilon Delta honorary societies. In 1952, she received a master's degree
in speech and drama from KU. Edith is survived by her husband, Anderson; three children: Sandra,
Marged, and Eve; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brother, Jon.
Parent's Club Off and Running
T
he goal of Parent's Club is to provide communication to
parents, offer more social activities, and raise funds to
benefit Alpha Chi Omega. We are off to a great start this year,
with Family Day on the Hill. More than 200 sisters and parents
attended and we sold more than 180 shirts, bringing in close to
$1,000 in donations. The next Parent's Club-sponsored event
will be the Dad's Day Auction on November 16.
