Tuesday, October 22, 2013 – Daily News Ag tour rolls out Thursday The locations have been set for the 8th annual Farm-City Bus Tour on Thursday, Oct. 24. Tour goers will visit Alderson Dairy, Maywood Farms, Eco-Shell and Lucero Olive Oil. The morning event will begin at 7 a.m. with a welcome from Tehama County Farm Bureau President Sam Mudd, followed by coffee and pastries. The tour will begin at 8 a.m. sharp. Marcie Skelton with the Tehama County Department of Agriculture, and Josh Davy with the University of California Cooperative Extension, will be tour guides on the bus answering questions about Tehama County agriculture. Lunch will be provided after the tour. There are only a limited number of tickets available, call the Tehama County Farm Bureau office at 527-7882 to reserve a ticket.
