You Matter Discussions I've got to admit, I get pretty excited about the You Matter series. I never know when the knowing will hit me that someone or some place is my next You Matter column. The enthusiasm has certainly reached the community as well. More than ever, I am getting contacted by email or stopped in parking lots by people wanting me to know about someone that mattersto them. People are excited and want me to write about the people who matter to them and that's tough, because I write from a knowing that comes up in my soul that God wants me to honor someone or some place. I never know when it is going to happen and I have never had an ability to write about someone from someone else's perspective, only the one on my heart. The argument has been made that perhaps, God wanted them to tell me to write about so and so or about such and such, but I am at peace with the way the Big Guy tells me who is on His mind. There are even those who feel I have no business talking about God in my column, but hey, I gotta be me and we all know that I have been on an incredible journey the past seven years that I have been writing and I say this- I will gladly have my column moved the the "church page" if it makes it socially more acceptable to speak my truth. So to those of you out there who felt upset when I wouldn't or couldn't write about your loved one or the service or business you believe matters, I want to offer a solution. I've been unfriended on social media, glared at and told I'm a fraud and about 350 words and the story must include how this perfrankly, I don't undersons behavior can be an stand that hostility. I inspiration to others. The completely understand purpose of a You Matter that when you are pascolumn is to showcase sionate about someone or how every day people do something, you believe things that we can all learn in it so much that you are to do and be better for it. It astonished when someisn't to only show gratione else either doesn't tude, it is to inspire others share your enthusiasm or to emulate the behavior so doesn't hop on board the world can be a little bit your band wagon.
