As this program belongs to them each month PAL Martial Arts Center for Excellence awards two deserving students with junior black belts. These students have demonstrated excellence at dojo, at home and at school, for one month and now "pay it forward" to two more who have worked hard on these requirements and the true virtues and responsibilities of train- ing in a traditional martial art. There's a new location for the dojo. It's across from Vista Middle School, 1005 Vista Way, Suite C, at Alpha Vista Properties. The location manager, Joy Wilhite, is working closely on behalf of the building's owner with PAL for a couple of PAL programs. For the past several months PAL Martial Arts was located at Ginger's Fitness Palace. The program thrived but outgrew Ginger's and Alta Vista Properties and PAL recently negoti- ated moving into the new location. Ginger Olds stepped forward to help PAL Martial Arts by donating her facility to the youth in the com- munity and it is truly appreciated. Many folks like Ginger have donat- ed to PAL and other youth programs. It's these types of citizens that do this without recognition but still donate Courtesy photo P.J. The program will continue 3-5 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. School age children, age 5 and above, who are currently attending school may join PAL Martial Arts. Please, either stop by on these days and times, call Rachel at 200-1031 or visit www.tehamaso.org/pal for a list of PAL programs.
