Beta Zeta Chapter Thrives
at Butler University
Delta Tau Delta Raises $21,000 for Riley Children's Hospital
B
eta Zeta has enjoyed a busy summer with active members attending Delta Tau
Delta's National Leadership Programs, working numerous high profile internships, and wrapping up with the executive team meeting in August to plan out the
school year. The chapter is looking toward the upcoming school year with a lot of
enthusiasm and excitement. Our goals include recruiting a 40-man pledge class,
compiling 1,000 hours of community service, and gaining the top GPA among
campus fraternities.
Beta Zeta had many accomplishments to be proud of during the 2013 spring semester. Our spring philanthropy, Trike, brought in more than $21,000 benefitting Riley
Children's Hospital through the Ed Seaver '92 fund. The week ended with our
inaugural Trike benefit dinner and auction, welcoming friends, family, and faculty
members to listen to inspiring stories from Riley families who have benefitted from
our fundraising efforts. The men of Beta Zeta look forward to hosting the event for
years to come.
Alumni volunteers and recent graduates gather at the Shelter.
The chapter also had a very successful recruitment class last year; 41 new members
were initiated into the fraternity—the most in Beta Zeta's rich history. These men
helped the chapter obtain a 3.244 GPA last spring.
Beta Zeta expects to continue our momentum from the spring into this school year.
The brothers are excited and ready to get things rolling on campus at Butler University. We plan to be in the top 10 Delt chapters nationally, resulting in a Hugh Shields
Award for the chapter this spring. Thank you to all of our alumni for your support.
Please stop by the Shelter anytime you would like to visit.
