Helps to attract over 100,000 visitors, spectators and participants to Red Bluff and Tehama County who spend over $120 Million annually in our market. • Promotes the Farmer’s Market, Ribs, Rods and Rides, Red Bluff Round-Up, Bull and Gelding Sale, West Coast Monster Truck Nationals, Red Bluff 4th of July and many other local events, many of which raise money for good causes and other clubs and organizations in Red Bluff and Tehama County. • Hosts Good Morning, Red Bluff monthly networking sessions for local business people. • Assists new businesses with grand openings and ribbon cuttings, and the promotion of these events. • Spotlight, feature and promote local businesses in columns in the newspaper, the Chamber newsletter, the Chamber’s electronic reader board, the Chamber’s website and other media. • Assists local agricultural businesses with official “certificates of origin” documentation allowing local growers to ship to foreign countries. • Provides Employer Posters for area businesses, to ensure businesses and their employees understand and comply with state and federal labor law. • Publishes a civic directory listing 144 area civic organizations and their services to the local population and communities. • Serves an advocacy role for the business community by carrying out key studies. • Promotes “Shop Locally”, with key promotional campaigns throughout the year -supporting local business, protecting jobs and the tax base. • Promotes the Convention and Visitors Bureau and economic development agencies to brand our communities and market our communities to increase visitor volume and frequency. • Every year, distributes over 600 local maps, 1,200 recreation guides, 500 relocation packets, 6,000 calendars of events and responds to literally thousands of requests about our County and its communities. • Responds to over 800 written and 16,000 telephone calls and email information requests annually from prospective visitors, residents and relocating businesses. • Greets and handles the informational needs of over 6,000 drop-in visitors every year. • Maintains the state-of-the-art Red Bluff-Tehama County display in the State Capital Building in Sacramento, seen by thousands of visitors annually. • Maintains the Tehama County display at the California Visitors’ Center in Anderson. • Founded the Tehama County Education Foundation, creating an avenue for business support and assistance to local education through various annual events and projects. • Serves as the administrative support for the Downtown Red Bluff Business Association, and plays a major supporting role in the promotion of its events throughout the year. • Sponsors our annual “Spirit of Red Bluff” Beautification Awards program, recognizing projects enhancing aesthetic business improvements and contributions. • In addition to its own impressive program of work, the Chamber works with all community groups who share the common desire to improve the area’s coveted quality of life, including the Tehama County Employers’ Advisory Council, Shasta Cascade Wonderland Association, Sacramento River Discovery Center, Greater Highway 36 Association, Tehama District Fair, Farm Bureau and Job Training Center, and many others!
