This law requires that the seller of a property served by a septic system must provide the buyer a state inspection re- port that is completed and signed by a state licensed inspector. There is also a necessary form to transfer ownership from the seller to the buyer. This law is monitored by the Arizona Department Environmental Quality. O������ 20, 2010 Halloween Caravan planned for The Annual Halloween Caravan will be held on Friday, Oct. 29 this year, with several changes being made to the event. The Quartzsite Elemen- tary School PTA has decided that they will no longer be organizing or help- ing with the caravan and have instead made plans to do a Fall Carnival at the park on Saturday, Oct. 30. Since there were many people who Friday, Oct. 29th be picked up when they get out and also taken to town hall to get dressed for the caravan. The buses will leave the Town Hall were upset that the school wanted to cancel the caravan, it was decided that it was too important to just stop it, since it has been going on in town for the past 20 years and has become a tradition that many do not want to see gone. It has been decided that the Parks and Recreation and QAC will sponsor it along with Town Hall this year. The buses from the Scholars’ Acad- emy will pick up the kids, along with their costumes at the elementary school. The kids will then be bused to Town Hall, where the first busload of the younger kids will watch a movie while taking turns to change into their costumes. They will then leave JRs and travel around to the many campgrounds and busi- nesses who want the caravan to stop. The caravan’s last stop will be the li- brary at town hall where they will have a haunted house. Parents can leave their vehicles at town hall and get on the buses. No child will be allowed on the bus without a signed permission slip. Permission slips can be picked up at the children’s library, Main St. Laun- dromat, Quartzsite Business Chamber, or cut out of this newspaper, (on page 19). Once the slips are filled out, they can be returned to the children’s library or brought with the child to Town Hall before the buses board. If parents think their child has too much candy after this event, they are urged to donate some of it back to Operation Hero Comfort and it will be sent in packages to our troops in harm’s way (they love candy!!) Also, if any business who gives out candy be- fore the buses leave at the tables set up have any left and would like to donate it to the troops, it will be greatly appre- ciated.
