P 14 .DM. THOUGHTBUSTER.COM What are you banking on? By Coach Louise Rouse “What goes up must go down, and what goes down must go up”. I heard this saying over and over throughout my life. There is a flavor of unseen trust within the words. Like a golden rule to live by; it reminds us, don’t worry it will all work out. Coach Louise Rouse Visit: http//:www. americasgriefcoach.com However there are many concerns in the air, like will it really go back up? The it is so many things, such as our financial markets, jobs, housing values, faith in Government, and our environment, just to name a few. While financial markets correct themselves, the Govern- ment improves, and we take better care of our en- vironment, why not have a fresh internal correction for ourselves as well. The world is in constant un- predictable change. Stock markets fall and rise, di- sasters happen, and new inventions are created. However there is one constant we can bank on, which is our connection to the Divine. The Divine has many names which people use. Our dollar bills say… In God We Trust. Having a relationship with the Divine brings out the goodness within us. We are more centered, bal- anced and comfortable when we feel supported by spirit, and loved for just who we are. Recently I was going on a trip with my girlfriends when one friend called me and complained about the number of people. It grew from 5 to 7 women in a very small house. I kind of agreed, as I had just re- turned from staying in a house with a lot of people on a family vacation celebrating my moms 80th birth- day. After I talked to the organizer of the trip and NOW OPEN! La Casa Del Rancho MEXICAN & AMERICAN FOOD TACO TUESDAY IS BACK! $1 TACOS! This is an example of being caught in the roller coaster and contributing to its jerky ride. However if I would have just stopped and handed it over to the Divine trusting that everything will work out, my ride would have been a whole lot sweeter. Why do we fall for these human gossip negative en- ergy moments? Maybe I was tired, rushed, or off balance because I wasn’t connected with the Divine. When am not con- nected I think I need to fix things, control things, I open the door for my ego to start talking. To me ego stands for Edging God Out. I have a choice: beat my- self up about it, and stay stuck in the down cycle, or learn from it, and commit to pledging a deeper dedi- cation to handing it over to the Divine next time. This reminds me of when I taught stress manage- ment at a local high school. I handed out to the class checkbook ledgers. Then I told them to write on the top that they had a balance of one hundred dollars. Throughout the week whenever they took personal care for themselves, like a good night sleep, they could add ten more dollars. Or if they did a kind deed, felt joyful, or connected with the Divine they could add in ten more dollars. However, whenever they didn’t eat or sleep right, or felt off balance, they had to deduct ten dollars. At the end of the week I had them balance their checkbooks to see if their personal health bank ac- count was positive or negative. They were able to see first hand how their actions affected their per- sonal health bank account. Life does go up and down, but with a healthy per- sonal care bank account, the ride is so much sweeter. How is your account today?
