In 2009, Horn was included in Military Spouse Magazine’s annual “Who’s Who Among Military Spouses.” She interviewed with Focus on the Family’s weekly webcast, Your Family Live, earlier this summer and spoke on the many challenges facing the military family during deployments. Earlier this year Horn released, GOD Strong: A Military Wife’s Spiritual Survival Guide. Her latest work, a bible study with LifeWay, entitled, Tour of Duty: Preparing our Hearts for Deployment, comes out in November. Horn will be speaking in the area on Oct. 23 at RockFish Church, located at 9949 Fayetteville Rd. WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM (HWY 401) in Raeford. She plans to speak to military wives about her latest book, GOD Strong, and focus on personal and marital struggles that face the military wife. “We are conditioned to think we have to be strong as we live through military life, but it is so important to learn to lean on the strength of God,” Horn said in a recent interview.
