Horn, an award-winning writer and collaborator, has worked with high-profi le authors, fi nishing seven books in fi ve years. Her reporting from Iraq in 2003 was selected for inclusion in the U.S. Library of Congress’s online archives of the Iraq war. She made two trips to the Middle East to document stories of Christians in the midst of the Iraq War. She shares many of these stories in her fi rst book, A Greater Freedom: Stories of Faith from Operation Iraqi Freedom, written with best- selling author Oliver North. Horn is the co-founder and president of Wives of Faith (www.wivesoffaith. 6 UCW OCTOBER 6-12, 2010 org), which is an online faith-based military wives support organization. As the wife of a Navy Reservist, she realized the importance of connecting with other military wives when her husband was preparing for his fi rst deployment to Iraq in 2007. When asked about the site, she said, “When we started Wives of Faith, we thought we would minister predominately to Reserve wives, but found many active-duty wives in need of support and encouragement. This organization is a place not only to share the challenges of the military, but also a place to share our personal faith.” She is also the publisher of the faith-based military news site, www. AGreaterFreedom.com, launched in early 2005. In addition to these ongoing works she is a regular contributor for Military Spouse Magazine and Militarycom. She enjoys speaking to civilian and military groups alike, particularly on the WWW.UPANDCOMINGWEEKLY.COM
