2A – Daily News – Tuesday, September 14, 2010 Community people&events Reynoza scholarship Drunken Meatballs Tehama County Cattle- Women will be partnering with the Downtown Red Bluff Business Association to present a Beef 'N Brew tasting event Saturday, Sept. 18 in downtown Red Bluff. Tasting in participating stores of beef appetizers and micro-brew beers will be 5- 7 p.m. The recipe for Drunken Meatballs is from Lassen County CattleWomen "A Taste of Beef, Sip of Wine" beef appetizer cookbook. 3-4 dozen cooked meat- balls — you can use your own favorite meatball recipe or a package of frozen meat- balls. 1 cup ketchup 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup bourbon Combine ketchup, brown sugar and bourbon in saucepan. Bring to a simmer and simmer for 5 minutes. Add cooked meatballs and simmer covered for 45 min- utes, stirring occasionally. Transfer to serving bowl and serve using toothpicks.
