The Wheels and Warrioprs Second Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show is scheduled to take place at the Fort Bragg Fairgrounds on Sept. 7. If you are looking for an incredible way to spend time with friends and family, come out Sept. 7 for the Wheels and Warriors Second Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show at the Fort Bragg Fair Grounds. Sponsored by the United States Army's Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program, this event has a lot to offer and is free and open to the public. Showcasing a different side of Fort Bragg, the second annual car, truck and bike show will entertain the public with a bevy of different show vehicles including muscle cars, classic trucks and motorcycles. With all of these top-tier vehicles, there is sure to be something to catch the skillful eye of any motor enthusiast. There will be live music, door prizes and food and drink vendors to enjoy, too. The MWR Program continuously strives to serve soldiers and their families with domestic entertainment of all sorts. Based at Fort Bragg, this program offers an outlet to the military but is appreciated by the civilian population as well. Whether it be live music by popular recording artists, mixed martial-arts fights by professional UFC fighters or musical performances by the soldiers themselves, MWR provides those who serve with entertainment worthy of their attendance. The Wheels and Warriors Second Annual Car, Truck and Bike Show will be no exception! For this event, pre-registration began on July 15. Those interested can still register at the Pope Auto Skills Shop located on Armistead Street on base or at the Tickets and Tours Office in the Mini Mall. On the day of the event, Sept. 7, all of the vehicles to be shown and displayed must be checked in at the registration area between 7 and 9 a.m. If you are interested in registering a vehicle to be shown, the fees for all cars and trucks are $20 and it costs $10 for motorcycles. Once all of the registered vehicles have been judged, trophies will be awarded for both first and second place. Judges will meticulously inspect each vehicle to their standards and decide which ones meet their rigorous expectations and are good enough to be named the best. Categories in which the vehicles will be judged include: Best in Show, Best Paint, Best Muscle Car, Best Import, Commanders Choice, Best Military, Best Custom, Best Paint, Best Cruiser, Best Sports Bike and many others. During the inspections, on-lookers will be able to view the vehicles as well. Many will be displayed for the general public to compare and admire.
