10 | r e d f c u.o r g Holly Roden says that after more than 40 years, Redstone has become more than a place to work, but the backdrop for countless milestones, friendships, and memories. Holly, who retired in August, was curious, dedicated, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping others succeed. Of her many roles, she spent the greatest part of her career as a trainer, guiding employees through new systems, products, and better ways to serve members. Her upbeat advice to newer employees is simple: Find a mentor. A trusted guide can help someone navigate challenges while spotting new possibilities and cheering you on. "I cherish all those mentors that I had. I should have listened to them more – and closed my mouth a few more times than I opened it," said Holly. Few people have had a better front- row seat to Redstone's growth. Its early loan call center had one operator transferring calls, lights that changed from green to red as the queue grew, and room for only 20 callers before others were disconnected. In 2001, calls were routed through 11 representatives, two supervisors, and a processor. Today, 70 representatives serve members, supported by expanded teams and convenient digital banking options. Holly says Redstone was there for all her life's biggest moments, from raising children and purchasing homes to navigating difficult losses. rough it all, she says her managers and colleagues responded with compassion: " They have seen it all, and they have been there for me." ON TO THE NEXT ADVENTURE Retirement opens the door to even more of what Holly loves: scrapbooking, crafts, and teaching workshops. She plans to build a craft room behind her house, explore states she has not yet visited, and turn her lifelong love of horses into a dream trip to a dude ranch. Congratulations, Holly! Here's to a retirement overflowing with creativity, discovery, and fun! HOLLY RODEN Member's Moment:
