• The NCHC had three alumni (Jake
Guentzel, Jake Sanderson and Jaccob
Slavin) win gold with Team USA at
the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan in
February, while former North Dakota
standout Brock Nelson (2010-12) also
captured gold with the U.S.
• A total of 10 NCHC players or alumni
have now suited up for Team USA at the
Olympics with two in 2018, five in 2022
and now three in 2026.
• In the 2026 Winter Olympics, the
NCHC also had alumni on Denmark
(Patrick Russell) and Germany
(Frederik Tiffels), while current
Minnesota Duluth sophomore goaltender
Adam Gajan was on Team Slovakia and
was the lone active men's NCAA hockey
player at the 2026 Olympics.
