Miami has 15 more wins this season than
last season, marking the second-biggest
year-over-year overall win improvement
in program history (+17 in 1996-97). This
year's RedHawk resurgence matches the
third-largest single-season improvement
in regular-season victories (excluding
COVID and forfeits) of any team nationally
since 1978-79, per data from CHN's Stats
Customizer (UMass Lowell +17 in 2011-12,
Notre Dame +16 in 1987-88).

Of Miami's 27 players, 21 had not played a
game for the RedHawks before this season.
Miami brought back just 32 total points from
last year's roster, less than half the returning
production of any other D-I team, yet has
secured its first winning season since 2015.
