Gamma Phi sisters gather for a recruitment event. SIGMA NEWS 2 S igma Chapter welcomed the sophomore pledge class at the beginning of August as they moved into 1339. Members were overjoyed to reconnect, se le in, and add personal touches. G A M M A P H I B O N D I N G We were excited to kick off prep week and get ready for formal recruitment. Each day brought a new theme, including Mission to Bid Day, Wigged out for Gamma Phi, and Gamma Phi Games: Bringing Home the Gold. Everyone had a blast dressing up, bonding, and showing their spirit. The week was filled with laughter, teamwork, and memories that set the tone for an incredible recruitment and an even stronger sisterhood! Elsa Kiblen '22 and her hardworking recruitment team created such an unforge able experience. Our amazing recruitment advisors, Courtney Voorhees Muehlberger '13, Ka e Rogler Kuehl '13, and Kaycee Peterson '14 guided and supported our chapter every step of the way. Our Bid Day theme, Rounded Up the Best!, was a total hit thanks to Kenzy Ulrich '23 and Izzy McClure '23. We're excited to share that Sigma welcomed 98 members on Bid Day, and we have 302 total! A P R O M I S I N G N E W S E M E S T E R This semester is packed with exci ng events and chapter tradi ons. We look forward to our annual REAL Wellness Week, Family Weekend, the New Member Retreat, our Grilled Cheese with GPhi Bs philanthropy fundraiser, and plenty of sisterhood ac vi es. The Big and Li le process—a highlight for sophomores and newest members—will soon begin! Sigma Chapter is proud of our semester GPA of 3.629, reflec ng the hard work and dedica on of members. We ranked third among Panhellenic sorori es at KU. Academic excellence remains a top priority, and we are thrilled to see our commitment to scholarship shine! We are honored to have been recognized with a Top Fundraising Chapter of 2024 award by Girls on the Run Interna onal. This would not have been possible without the dedica on and generosity of our members and the outstanding leadership of Philanthropy Chairwoman Hope Joyce '22, whose hard work guided our efforts.
