O
ur house urgently requires updates
and renovations. Decades of wear
and tear have taken their toll, leaving
the infrastructure inadequate to meet
the needs of our alumni and current and
future members.
Our main hurdle is the current state of the
facility. Simply, we want "less leaks" to
allow for more mentoring.
By advocating for "less leaks,"
the organization acknowledges
the importance of efficient facility
management. A leaking facility not only
consumes financial resources but also
demands valuable time and attention
that could otherwise be invested in more
impactful endeavors.
By empowering the Alumni and Volunteer
Corporation (AVC) to focus on mentorship,
our organization will thrive. Maine Alpha's
core mission is fostering leadership and
brotherhood among our members. By
prioritizing mentoring initiatives, the
organization aims to create a culture
where students excel academically,
professionally and personally.
On a campus with 16 fraternities,
maintaining a competitive edge in
recruitment is crucial. A premier
residential learning community will (i)
enhance our appeal to potential members,
(ii) set us apart from other chapters, and
(iii) integrate our alumni, undergraduates
and the entire UMaine community.
