he Tradition of Excellence campaign is not only about renovating a building and
providing funds for scholarship and leadership opportunities. Your investment in this
organization ensures an important part of Maine's history continues long into the future.
We each took an oath to Sigma Phi Epsilon. Generous alumni before us provided a place to
call home. Today, we are called to do the same.
GIVING INFORMATION
Our partnerships with the University of Maine and the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation
have tremendous benefits to help meet your philanthropic goals. Your gift to this campaign is:
• Payable over five-years
• Eligible for 100% tax-deductibility (if total pledge is at or above $15,000 level)
• Credited toward the university's giving societies (e.g. Stillwater Society,
President's Council, etc)
Giving vehicles for gifts eligible for tax deductibility include appreciated securities, qualified
charitable distributions to satisfy the required minimum distribution (RMD) from an IRA, grants
from a donor advised fund or family foundation and corporate matching programs. For more

Gifts of $5,000 and above will be honored on the main donor plaque in
the newly renovated house. Gifts of $2,500 and above will be recognized
