SUMMER 2025 A PUBLICATION FOR ALUMNI OF ALPHA IOTA H ALPHA GAMMA RHO ALPHA IOTA SHAMROCK RETURN TO RAZORBACK ROAD A lpha Gamma Rho has a history steeped in nearly a century of fraternal tradition at the University of Arkansas. Alpha Iota Chapter has connected more than 1,400 men through the common bond of AGR Brotherhood and a unified mission to make each other better men. Our new Return to Razorback Road construction campaign aims to strengthen our bonds by providing a modern facility for our Undergraduates and Alumni. CAMPAIGN PLANS Thanks to the remarkable generosity of devoted Alpha Iota Alumni and the efforts of previous fundraising drives, we have managed to purchase and pay off 2.4 acres on Razorback Road and have already hired our engineer and architect team for constructing our new Chapter house. All parties have been hard at work for months to bring us closer to building your new Chapter house. All previous giving efforts have given Alpha Iota Chapter the resources and opportunity before us—to BUILD our new home. This campaign to build our new house is driven by four primary goals: Construct a house that Undergraduate and Alumni brothers will be proud to call HOME. Provide competitive amenities like study rooms and lounges, an officer suite, Housemother quarters, a large multipurpose facility for Chapter gatherings, and parking for all our members. Create a space where all brothers can come together to strengthen their AGR connections. House 35 brothers with spacious bedrooms, semi-private bathrooms, and common areas to rival the best student housing options in Fayetteville. ALUMNI SHAPE OUR FUTURE Building our ideal Alpha Iota Chapter house was never going to be easy, as the facility comes with a projected cost of $4.5 million, but so many brothers have already stepped up to get us off to a great start in fundraising, and the Alpha Iota Building Corporation has worked tirelessly to make sure the project is on a feasible budget and that the Undergraduates can cash flow a significant chunk of the cost while creating annual reserves. It is up to us as AGR Alumni to band together to build this house and to support our bright Collegians who remain committed to our Fraternity's growth and success. Right now, we have grown to be one of the largest AGR Chapters in the country, as we have over 100 Undergraduate brothers who are proud to call themselves Alpha Iota AGRs. In 2024-25, 36 new members joined, and we anticipate a record class this coming fall. These brothers have grown socially and professionally, and they recently achieved a Chapter GPA of 3.2, earned the second-highest award from National AGR (the Sleeter Bull Award-Most Improved Chapter), and were also honored with a Recruitment Excellence Award at AGR National Convention. They continue to display their devotion to Alpha Gamma Rho's time- tested values that have shaped each of our lives in different ways. Alpha Iota Chapter's new Chapter house will be more than just a living facility—it will be a CORNERSTONE for not only new generations of brothers to make their own AGR memories but also a center for all Alumni and their families to stay forever connected.
