RE-COLONIZATION UPDATE
O
ur chapter house, originally known as "The Lodge," was dedicated on November 7, 1925.
A feature article, "New Chapter House Is a Magnificent Structure," can be found at
sigma-nu-psu.org/the-chapter-house. Photos of the dedication program, including some of
the house during construction and of finished first-floor rooms, can be found at
sigma-nu-psu.org/photo-gallery. Happy Centennial!
T
his spring, National emailed a survey to Delta Delta alumni to determine interest in supporting the
Alumni Chapter, Property Association, and re-colonization. Because we did not provide advance
notification or adequately communicate the importance of this survey, the response was poor. The survey
will be reissued this fall. When received, please respond.
I
n a letter dated February 18, 2025, to the General Fraternity (GF), the university formally approved the
re-establishment of the Delta Delta Chapter at Penn State. On-site recruitment of new colony members by
the GF team is planned to begin in August 2026, but preparations have already begun. The most significant
activity has been the recruitment of the Alumni Advisory Board (AAB).
The following AAB positions have been filled:
Chapter Advisor | Jim Wyland, ΔΔ1273
Social/Risk Advisors | Anthony Italiano, ΔΔ1256 and Victor Schleich, ΔΔ1477
LEAD Advisor | Bud Bilanich, ΔΔ926
Financial Advisor | Jordan Harty, ΔΔ1471
Discussions are ongoing with several brothers for the positions of Recruitment Advisor and
Alumni Relations Advisor. In addition, we're seeking a chairman for this board.
We've developed chapter-specific guidance for risk, financial, and alumni relations, all of which supplement the
guides available online from the GF. Chapter-specific recruitment guidance is under development.
Want to be a part of this team? Contact Brother Nelson at nelosonnittany@aol.com or
Mac McNeilly, the GF's Director of Expansion and Recruitment, at mac.mcneilly@sigmanu.org.
