THE ORACLE
W
hile the chapter house undergoes its own
transformation, so too has our Little
500 bike team. What started as four determined
riders has grown into a team of nine, all training
with renewed energy under the guidance of new
coach Courtney Bishop.
Courtney is a legend in the Little 500
community—a three-time champion coach,
founder of Team Major Taylor, and an innovator
whose pacing strategies transformed race tactics
across the board. With 15 top five finishes and
six second-place results across his career, he
brings a mindset of discipline, strategy, and
belief that will elevate our riders to the
next level.
BROTHERHOOD IN MOTION
Little 500 and Championship Coaching
B
ehind every strong chapter is strong
leadership. This spring, the IU Office of
Sorority and Fraternity Life honored AO's
own David Miller '71 with two prestigious
awards: Advisor of the Year and the Herman
B. Wells Greek Legacy Award. David's
work—alongside many dedicated alumni—
brought the chapter back from the brink of
closure to winning the Lambda Chi Alpha
Phoenix Award.
His dedication is a shining example of lifelong
brotherhood in action, and his continued
mentorship helps keep our chapter focused,
growing, and strong.
