his fall marks a historic milestone—100
years of continuous brotherhood at the AO
chapter house. Built in 1925 and first occupied
that September, the house at 1210 E. 3rd
Street stands today as the oldest continuously
occupied, single-fraternity Greek house at
Indiana University.
For generations of Lambda Chi Alpha
brothers, these walls have been the setting of
transformation—from wide-eyed freshmen
to men shaped by shared values, enduring
friendships, and unforgettable experiences.
More than 2,700 brothers have called this place
home. We've met lifelong friends, found future
spouses, celebrated milestones, and created
memories—some we proudly share, others we
laugh about quietly. Above all, we have built a
bond of brotherhood that transcends decades,
still alive today with over 140 undergraduates
continuing the tradition.
Join Us for the 100th House
Anniversary Celebration
On September 20, 2025, we gather once again
to celebrate this remarkable legacy. We invite
all AO alumni to return, reflect, and reconnect.
This isn't just a celebration of a house—it's
a celebration of the lives shaped within it,
the values we upheld, and the legacy we are
committed to passing forward.
