WHAT'S INSIDE Fraternity & Sorority Affairs (FSA) holds an annual banquet where Greek awards are presented for outstanding achievements. The April banquet covers the last completed calendar year. FSA includes four governing councils, with one being the Interfraternity Council (IFC), a collection of 22 nationally recognized fraternities fostering academic achievement, leadership opportunities, community service, campus involvement, and brotherhood connections. Of course, Beta Theta Pi is part of the IFC organization. Gamma Lambda brought home a number of prestigious IFC awards, which speak highly of our chapter house brothers and our performance on the OSU campus. Beta Theta Pi was awarded: A Dean Troxel Most Outstanding Fraternity Award A Most Outstanding Scholarship A Most Outstanding Chapter Management A Most Outstanding Campus Involvement A Runner-Up in College/Community Relations A Runner-Up in Member Development We are extremely proud of our Beta house for constantly striving for excellence in all of its activities at our great university. The chapter president's report from Luke Diener '27 is on page 2. Read about our activities and the results of the academic competition among fraternities. It is still amazing that we can achieve such a high GPA with a high number of brothers and pledges in the average—173 men. That continues to be a "Wow!" Also see page 2 for the number of 4.0s in the spring semester. BRI ACTIVITIES As always, included are pictures of a number of sports, shows, and charitable events where brothers are competing and working together. Note in this BRI newsletter, there are five pictures with exciting destinations where brothers and fun are tied together on spring break trips. Read the picture captions and see the chapter men enjoying themselves. ALUMNI GATHERINGS As the years go by, we continue to see Beta house reunions, pledge class reunions, and era events and gatherings. In this BRI, we have some pics of our alumni out enjoying themselves. You'll see the reunion for the pledge class of 1974 enjoying lunch at Mexico Joe's as well as 13 brothers who pledged in 1966 enjoying a luncheon at the Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa. Other alumni were spotted, and their pictures are included. These events speak to our lasting Gamma Lambda friendships! Read, look, and enjoy! Sincerely and yours in__kai__, Greg Colpitts '88 Larry Maguire '65 GREEK AWARDS HIGHLIGHT OUR FRATERNITY
