PAge 3 betA thetA Pi Chevy Post '25 and Cody Sweet '26 enjoy Beta's Spring Formal in Arcadia, Wisconsin. B eta Pi remained committed to service, leadership, and brotherhood throughout the 2024–25 academic year. Last December, Paul Goff '26 organized the annual Light the Row event, raising over $3,000 for the Aurora Center and its mission to prevent sexual violence on campus. Goff and Jakubowski '27 continued their year-round volunteer work as certified Violence Prevention Advocates with the Aurora Center. Brothers Purdy-Hilts '27 and Contreras '27 also served as sexual violence advocates with Boynton Health. In April, the chapter hosted its spring philanthropy event, Beta Theta Pies, raising more than $1,000 for local causes. We are especially proud of the efforts of Will Luther '28 in coordinating the event. This spring, Beta Pi welcomed Beta Theta Pi General Secretary and CEO Jeff Rundle for dinner during the Big Beta Board of Trustees meeting in Minneapolis. His visit provided an opportunity for the chapter to showcase its achievements and strengthen connections with national leadership. Our chapter welcomed 13 new members last fall, bringing total membership to 45 men. Among them, Will Luther made his mark by serving as a page in the Minnesota State Senate this winter. We were also excited to initiate two additional members before the semester ended. Beyond the chapter house, Beta Pi brothers excelled in academic, professional, and unique arenas. Brothers Maas '27, Anderson '27, and Whalen '28 placed second in the 18th Annual Supply Chain Case Competition hosted by the Carlson School of Management, while Brother Nilson '27 prepared to compete in his upcoming case competition. Brother Day '26 won first place at the Blarney's Pub and Grill Swimwear Modeling Competition in February, demonstrating the chapter's diverse talents. Brother Quigley '28 stood out in the University of Minnesota ROTC program, placing 5th at the National ROTC KU Buddy Ranger Competition and securing 1st place out of 373 participants—including Army Special Forces and civilians—at the Arden Hills Norwegian Foot March. The 30-kilometer course, completed with a 25-pound ruck, is known for its rigorous demands. Quigley recorded one of the fastest times in recent years. He departed for Air Assault School on May 19. We also said goodbye to Brother Polzin '24, who moved to Scottsdale, Ariz. to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot. At the chapter house, the addition of a pool table in the G Room transformed it into a lively social space. Brother President Jacob Loveall '26 remarked, "I've never seen so many people in the G Room before." The house also welcomed Mitch, our new full-time cook, who quickly became part of our community. As the semester concluded, Beta Pi reflected on a successful year of growth and impact and looked forward to building on this momentum in the fall.
