T he Kappa Alpha brotherhood made its mark on Pierce Winslow '20 from his first Omicron Chapter recruitment event, and the Fraternity's influence far exceeded his expectations. Pierce has carried leadership and communication skills from the Fraternity into his professional life while maintaining KA bonds beyond college. Omicron Opportunities Pledge class experiences and officer roles were notable highlights from Pierce's college years. He recalls squeezing around 20 brothers into a New Orleans Airbnb for UT's playoff football game against Washington, and the KAs made unforgettable memories exploring the city and cheering on the Longhorns. "Serving the chapter was one of the highlights of my time as a KA," he added. As secretary, recruitment captain, and recruitment assistant for Dallas and Fort Worth, Pierce gained a deeper understanding of KA operations and did his part for fraternal growth. "KA was the single biggest driver of my professional development during college." Kappa Alpha relationships are already influencing Pierce after college on a social and professional level. He recently organized a pledge class golf outing and plans to make it an annual event, and Pierce often relies on KA real estate connections for career wisdom. Career Development While exploring various career options in college, Pierce discovered a passion for real estate development through a UT consulting organization in junior year. "Through that group, I worked as a sustainability consultant for Trademark Property Company, a retail and multifamily developer based in Fort Worth." That career opportunity was a turning point, which he followed with an internship with ACORE Capital, a real estate debt fund in Dallas. Pierce then leveraged those roles during his recruiting process to land a job in development at his current firm, The Dinerstein Companies, where he has enjoyed working on projects in the multifamily and student housing sectors. "What has always drawn me to development is the opportunity to create something tangible from the ground up—to shape spaces where people can live, work, and connect. It's a field that blends creativity, impact, and lasting value." KA members have played a role in every step of Pierce's career so far, and he encourages Omicron brothers to reach out to alumni for mentorship and guidance. "Many of us who spent unforgettable years in the Manor are eager to support the next generation. Don't hesitate to lean on that shared experience." In his spare time, Pierce enjoys listening to country music and attending concerts as well as playing golf and tennis.
