Svob Chapter of the Year Award! This prestigious recognition celebrates the dedication, accomplishments, and impact our chapter has made over the past year. We are incredibly proud to represent Kappa Kappa Gamma and to be recognized in such a meaningful way. As we move forward, we are committed to building on the strong foundation laid by our previous chapter council and continuing the legacy of excellence that this award represents. Outside of Chapter of the Year, we also won awards for Excellence in Diversity Awareness & Programming and Outstanding Campus Involvement! Maddie Szemplenski '21 won Greek Person of the Year after her outstanding semester serving as the vice president of health promotions for the Panhellenic Council. Maddie is an amazing leader and a great representation of Gamma Zeta Chapter. Luise McCaffery was awarded the Outstanding House Director Award. We are so thankful for everything she does to keep our facility in order and a smile on our members' faces! We also won a few awards pertaining to GPA, including Highest Active Member GPA and Highest Overall GPA. We are proud of our members for their hard work and dedication to their academics! We celebrated this achievement with a Brains and Bagels event; special thanks to Academic Excellence Director Ellory Fishman '23 for hosting. In addition to a surplus of fun events (including Kappa Krush, Women We Love Weekend, and our Spring Formal), we also hosted our annual Hoops for Hope Basketball Tournament, raising $40,000! This year, we supported the Susan G. Komen Foundation in support of one of our members' mothers. Susan G. Komen works hard to raise awareness for breast cancer, fund research for treatment, and work for better patient advocacy. We are honored to have supported this foundation. Our chapter council has worked hard this semester to make their mark on the chapter. We had several impactful DEI events thanks to DEI Director Zoe Bowles '23, as well as a ton of fun sisterhood events thanks to Member Engagement Director Elena Nonemaker '23. We look forward to an impactful fall semester of fun events including recruitment, initiation, and Founder's Day!
