UNIVERSITY OF OREGON SPRING 2025 Updates from Oregon Beta First, we are building the new Chapter House! We now own (what is likely) the last vacant lot on campus, 967 Patterson Street, two lots down from the Beta Theta Pi house. We are in the final stages of building permits and plan to start construction late spring; we plan to occupy the house in fall 2026. Many thanks to Mike Sullivan '84, who has been leading our effort with several other alumni playing key roles. We are about $1.5 million short of the estimated cost of house construction and furnishing/equipment. The Alumni Volunteer Corp. (AVC) is engaged in serious conversations about the next steps for closing this gap to ensure the future success of our Chapter. We look forward to sharing more as we can. Finally, we have begun to plan our 100th anniversary celebration for May 2026 in Eugene (see details on page 2). Weekend plans include Chapter House tours and plenty of celebrations—both by class and with the full brotherhood. Please plan on being there, and make sure all your brothers are on board! Thanks to Brian Stewart '83 for initiating these plans. OUR PLANS TO FURTHER AND FUTURE OREGON BETA 100 YEARS 1 2 3 On the site of our next house, brothers who lived in our first two houses We have three BIG plans for the next 18 months, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! Preparing for our To bring all this together, we are rallying around the theme of "Celebrating 100 Years, Building for 100 More." As alumni, we have all benefited from being Oregon SigEps. Our brothers became lifelong friends, and our experiences prepared us for success in our lives and careers. We now have the chance to preserve that opportunity for today's young men—to pay it forward. Our vision is to restore Oregon Beta SigEp as the prestigious Fraternity Chapter that undergraduates are eager to join. Membership of distinction—like West Point, the Rhodes Scholarship, or Julliard— with high standards to join and high expectations to uphold. With the newest and best house on campus and a strong financial foundation that can afford scholarships and exclusive programs, we will be on our way to realizing that vision—and we will all be even prouder to be known as Oregon SigEps.
