Page 2 SigEp Gator Heart T his year, we achieved many successes, from raising over $15,000 for our philanthropy Surf Frenzy in support of Florida Diabetes Camp to creating large growth with the addition of 52 brothers. Our brothers are making great strides in organizations across campus. Matthew Van Wert '25 and Vincent Maio '25 joined Florida Blue Key, and cheerleader Jackson Grieser '25 accompanied the Gators to a National Championship in San Antonio! Luis Carranza '28 and Matthew Anderson '28 raised a new Chapter record through Dance Marathon, supporting UF Shands Hospital and Children's Miracle Network. Our men hold numerous positions in student government, with brothers Cole Bennett '27, Dylan Cannella '28, Joshua Johnson '28, and Joah Levine '26 all holding seats. However, the most notable achievement this year for campus involvement is arguably the induction of Brother Ryan Feocco '25 in the UF Hall of Fame. Our contributions to the community are highlighted in our efforts toward the Live Your Oath campaign, a national initiative partnering with Alpha Delta Pi. First implemented at UF in spring 2024, this collaborative programming effort centers around Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April. This campaign's goal was to raise awareness about sexual assault and encourage proactive efforts to prevent it. This year, we hosted a joint chapter speaker with ADPi and painted a banner to spread awareness. Our SLC initiatives, which include a semester GPA dinner, career prep workshops, engaging Chapter speakers, and a revitalized academic mentorship program, have guided the Chapter to win the highest IFC GPA for the seventh semester in a row (and the 15th time in the last 18). Because of this extensive list of achievements and recognition, we were recently recognized as the IFC Chapter of the Year for the eighth- consecutive year. Thank you to all who joined us for the Centennial—now let's keep moving forward! Fraternally, Sam Grant '26 Chapter President A History of Success SigEp Keeps Thriving in IFC (Left) is spring, Florida Alpha took home eight prizes at the Greek Awards: Chapter of the Year, Highest GPA (for both spring and fall 2024), Excellence in Educational Programming, Excellence in Civic Engagement, Excellence in Cross-Council Programming, Health and Wellness Programming, and Excellence in Membership Development.
