ΘXε CAREER NETWORKING EVENING FOSTERS GROWTH AND OPPORTUNITIES O n Monday, October 28, the undergraduates and several alumni gathered for the annual Fall ΘXε Career Networking Evening. is well-attended event, orchestrated by the Career Networking Committee, has become a cornerstone for fostering connections and guiding our youungest Brothers in their career pursuits. e ΘXε Career Networking Evening serves as a platform for alumni to share their professional journeys and offer invaluable advice to active Brothers seeking employment opportunities, whether for internships, co-ops, or full-time positions post- graduation. is event underscores the fraternity's commitment to supporting its members' professional development and success. e panel boasted a diverse array of alumni, each bringing unique perspectives and experiences to the table. From recent graduates embarking on entrepreneurial ventures to seasoned professionals leading global teams, the panelists provided a comprehensive view of various career paths and industries. e evening commenced with the panelists introducing themselves, sharing their major fields of study, and outlining their career trajectories. is was followed by an engaging discussion where the panelists recounted their experiences as both interviewees and interviewers. e undergraduates were eager to pose questions, sparking insightful dialogues on topics ranging from crafting a compelling résumé and effective networking strategies to acing job interviews. A recurring theme throughout the event was the emphasis on leveraging the project-based learning experiences at WPI and the skills inherently gained as a eta Chi. e panelists highlighted how these experiences have been instrumental in their professional growth and success. e Career Networking Committee, comprising Jon Swanson '94, David Wildgoose '95, Alan Belniak '97, Shawn Ayube '99, and Adam Macsata '16, along with Chapter Advisor Bill Lucas '98 and Lewis Clapp '27, is already hard at work planning future events. For D term of 2025, the committee has lined up several initiatives, including "Office Hours" sessions to review résumés, conduct mock interviews, and provide ongoing networking support.
