W ith Mother Nature easing her frozen grip in Middletown in early March, construction has commenced and is moving forward nicely with this first phase (the weatherproofing of the building: all-new windows, exterior doors, roofs, and fiberglass decking). The picture below was taken in late January. Construction fencing with gates in the front and back has been erected. The fencing completely encloses the house, including the exterior stairs on the south side of the house, protecting the house from vandalism and trespassing. Also note that the City of Middletown has taken down the dying trees along the street, providing President Roth with an unobstructed view of the beautiful Old Stone House and the American and DKE flags.
