Gloria Gall Frazier '61 reflects, "It is interesting at 83 years old to see how far Sigma Kappa Beta Tau members have extended a culture that is positive and engaging as they achieve goals, make constant connections and explorations, support others, and learn daily new ways to expand individual self-exploration in shaping their love of life." In Sigma Kappa, Brooke was surrounded by women who exhibited kindness, a genuine caring for others, and altruism. The Beta Tau Chapter gave her a close group of friends with whom she has celebrated accomplishments and leaned on during challenging times over the years. She remains loyal to her sisters, keeping in touch through monthly FaceTime calls. In September 2024, she even traveled with her Glittle from Florida to Washington, D.C., to visit another Beta Tau alumna and enjoy quality time together. Brooke also remains loyal to the companies she has worked for. She obtained her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree in 2022 and currently has four jobs. Outside of her primary job as a full-time Occupational Therapist at an outpatient specialty center for a children's hospital, she is also an Adjunct Professor at a university, where she co-instructs a course in its Doctor of Occupational Therapy program, a virtual Tutor for student athletes at the University of Florida, and an Independent Contractor Occupational Therapist via telehealth. Brooke is proud of her career and what she has achieved as a 27-year-old. "I find my job as an occupational therapist both meaningful and enjoyable because I have the privilege of helping children improve their fine motor skills, cognitive abilities, and sensory processing and modulation," Brooke shared. "I take pride in the work that I do and the therapeutic relationships I form with the families I work with." Brooke remains focused on personal growth, constantly engaging in new opportunities and taking courses to improve her knowledge as a clinician. She also enjoys volunteering in her community. She spends her free time sitting by the pool, taking walks, and exercising at the gym. "I enjoy going to concerts (typically boy bands and artists that were popular in the 2000s or 2010s) and traveling, specifically on cruises." Her mother is also a Sigma Kappa (at Florida State); it is special to Brooke to share that bond and they attend various alumnae events together at UF and in Southeast Florida. You can connect with Brooke at brookeabzug@gmail.com. Brooke's Favorite Sigma Kappa Memories "Some of my favorite events were the pasta philanthropy fundraiser (Alz You Can Eat), Bid Day (specifically the one when my Little's heart sister turned out to be her Little/my Glittle), and the overnight sisterhood trips (Atlanta, Orlando, and Savannah)."
