THE TOMAHAWK 2 Alpha Mu Chapter F all 2024 was a semester full of achievement and excellence� From community service to involvement, academics, and recruitment, Alpha Mu is thriving in every way possible� I am more and more impressed every day by our guys, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for us� Alpha Mu has made its mark on campus, and brothers continue to build our positive reputation among our peers� In the past two semesters we have hosted campus-wide trash cleanups, snow removals, partnered with Letters of Love, and more� In addition, an Alpha Mu tradition of the past 12 years gained more recognition and involvement from the community than ever before� On February 27, brothers hosted the Candlelight Vigil as a pledge to end sexual assault and domestic violence� The event had attendance of around 150 people and was featured in the Iowa State Daily newspaper twice� University President Wendy Wintersteen and SART Captain Natasha Greene both served as guest speakers for the event� In addition to our community service, brothers have been very involved through organizations on campus� Former President Caleb Askelson '26 and former Recruitment Chairman Cale Engebretson '25 are both serving on IFC for 2025 as president and VP of recruitment, respectively� VP of Health and Safety Sam Perez '28 recently traveled to Gainesville, Florida, to participate in Club Water Polo Nationals� Blake Wagoner '26 is an active member of Engineers without Borders and recently assisted in designing and building homes for African villages� Alpha Mu currently has five brothers who are members of Order of Omega, an honor society for Greek-life students� These are only a few examples of our brothers excelling every day in our community� Our spring philanthropy took place on March 11, when we partnered with Vibe Nutrition to serve a variety of teas to guests� Mom's Day followed on April 12, as brothers and their moms enjoyed Chick-fil-A while participating in bowling, painting, and crafts� As you can see, the future of Alpha Mu is in great hands� New leaders grow daily, continuing to leave a positive impact on those around them� I could not be more grateful at the opportunity to lead this group of resolute men� Fraternally, Jack Van de Krol '27 Chapter President WELCOME, NEW MEMBERS Ryan Humenik '28 Ben Jesse '27 Cooper Kann '28 Tyler Kim '28 Purumidh Pathak '28 Kriene Schneidermann '28 Tucker Stallman '28 We love participating in intramural volleyball.
