Building on Excellence at 1611 College UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA O n February 15, 2025, the Tri Delta alumnae chapter of greater Oklahoma City, Edmond, and Norman hosted the annual Art with a Heart auction benefiting several local children's cancer organizations. e event is conducted with the help of volunteers from eta Gamma Chapter at OU and Phi Upsilon Chapter at OSU. Attendees are alumnae, undergraduates, sponsors, friends, and families from the community. is year's event, hosted at Leadership Square in Oklahoma City, showcased 56 wonderful pieces of art from 48 artists. All artwork being auctioned at the event is created by children who are undergoing treatment or have been in treatment at the Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders. is year's event benefited the Oklahoma Children's Cancer Association, Cavett Kids Foundation, and the K Club. Art with a Heart is more than just a fundraiser. roughout the year, volunteers host art therapy days for the children to escape their day-to-day routine. e event also features these young artists and honors them along with their families. roughout the night, the children are the center of attention, not because of their illnesses but because of their one-of-a-kind masterpieces. is year, the artists were able to walk the red carpet with escorts from the OU football team. A Successful Art with a Heart Auction O ur new members presented Sculpted Dreams, led by Ava Lisnow '24 and Ella Bashman '24 and directed by Malorie Yarbrough '21. In partnership with Delta Tau Delta, our sisters made it to the U-Sing final showcase and won awards for Best Direction and Best Vocal Performance.
