IMPROVING ACADEMICS Our director of academics, Faith Rost '23, has worked hard on holding everyone accountable while also providing support with check-in meetings and suggestions for further counsel. She recently did an all-house grade check, and we are happy to report that our GPA has increased from the previous semester! PHIL ANTHROPIC SUCCESS We had quite a year of fundraising! In April, shortly after our new officers were selected, the executive team and I met with Director of Philanthropy Kiera Rader '22 to examine the rough-draft schedule for the year ahead. Our first major change was a week-long philanthropy event to be held in Sept. called Tri Delta Days. This event raised $5,740, which is about $2,000 more than our fall 2023 fundraiser! We recently wrapped up our DHOP fundraiser and Sincerely Yours letter writing and look forward to telling you about them in our next issue. CRE ATING CONNECTIONS We have become more involved with other Greek organizations. This has led to some new friends and a lot more support from the community. We stepped into Homecoming this year and came away with a fourth-place finish with our partners Delta Upsilon and Alpha Sigma. We also won first place in the float category. As for Tri Delta socials, we celebrated our fall date party New York City style. Everyone was dressed to impress at McCool's with outfits ranging from tourists to runway fashion models. ALL ABOUT SISTERHOOD Our director of lifetime membership, Maci Kratzer '23, has been hosting quite a few sisterhood events. Since the first round of recruitment was virtual, we decided to do a soda bar where members could come make yummy sodas together and watch recruitment videos. We also had a gold ribbon event to bring awareness to childhood cancers during the month of Sept. Both events have been special in their own way and have truly brought us closer together! Recruitment was an incredible success! We met our capacity and welcomed home 42 women to 1834 Laramie Street. Retention has also been a success even though we have supported some sisters who decided to transfer colleges. We are still taking women through year-round recruitment and cannot wait to add some more faces to the sisterhood.
