Iowa Delta's Milestones and Awards SigEps Strive for New Heights I owa Delta Chapter has done some amazing things throughout the past year. Last spring at our on-campus award ceremony, we won 11 of the 13 available awards. Some of these awards included highest GPA, best brotherhood programming, and Chapter of the year for the third-consecutive year. PHILANTHROPY EFFORTS Throughout the last spring semester, Iowa Delta Chapter spent time fundraising for our philanthropy partner, the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. We hosted an annual philanthropy volleyball tournament with 14 participating teams, which was the most in a long time for us. We set a goal for ourselves to make philanthropy one of our main focuses of the year, since we wanted to really try and make a big difference in the lives of others. COMMITTED TO GROWTH Skipping ahead to the fall, we set our sights on a huge recruitment class. We wanted to take our goal of 16 members and smash it out of the park and did, welcoming 26 in the fall and adding three more so far. This was a huge effort from all the guys in the Chapter, and I am very proud of the effort everyone has put forth. ACADEMICS AND LEADERSHIP We had another big achievement in the fall, with 50 members achieving a GPA over 3.5. Of that, 19 reached a 3.8 or higher! Our Chapter is immensely proud of this progress and continues to strive for higher goals. This spring, my executive board and I had the generous experience of going to Carlson Chicago to learn as leaders. During this time, we were awarded the Member Development Award from Headquarters. We are now applying to win our sixth Bucannon Cup in a row and are excited to see the results. This past year, we have grown a lot and seen that when we as a Chapter put our minds to achieving something, we will succeed. I am very proud of our Chapter and happy I get the chance to lead this group of young men over the next horizon.
